Dua Vietnamese

Here I go again with another rant about Asian food. Specifically Vietnamese this time. While there are no shortages of Pho restaurants in Atlanta (Buford Hwy. has one about every twenty yards) it is harder to find a place for Vietnamese-style noodles. Enter Dua Vietnamese, a seriously good place in downtown Atlanta that is always packed to the gills. They have an awesome selection of noodles, pho, spring rolls, and tons of other Vietnamese items that are all prepared in their open kitchen. I had this time, as I usually do, bun with tofu: noodles, peanut sauce, and fresh veggies. It's served room temperature and has an excellent nutty quality to it, both from the sauce and the way the tofu is lightly fried. One of my personal favorites. Their spring rolls are also out of this world; delicious filling with beansprouts, cilantro and that same excellent sauce. You absolutely should check out this place if you get the chance. The only downside is that it's only open for lunch on weekdays. But you know, try your best! Trust me, it's worth the few bucks for parking and the 15 minutes spent standing in line. There is always this place too...
